please break the forums down into at least 3 classification forums if not 6. I've been a longtime poster and when the season starts its going to be super painful to weed through all the threads. Speaking for me only, it will make me spend less time on the site unfortunately.
There was a ticket submitted (a few weeks ago) with how we want the free forums configured. I was told today that (A) the ticket is still in the queue and (B) all tickets will be resolved.

What about just boards for each classification, and not breaking it up into seasons? There was so little discussion on the winter and spring sports boards, and there is such little overlap between the seasons as it is.

Good stuff Will. I think all of our readers/fans just want to have transparency as to what is going on. We are all going through this together but your updates I have no doubt are helping.

To be truthful, the powers that be want fewer free boards. They get nothing from free boards; only the backend cost to maintain them. Their direction to college sites is Premium forums. I'm not sure how this will play out, but it is a new company with new goals. It is similar to if someone were to purchase the company you work at now and bring in all new managers and leadership.

But this is just my opinion. No inside knowledge or anything.

I think the On3 prices are a bit high for the casual poster or people who want to check scores. Each of their three annual subscription levels is tied to page views (one click equals one page view). You can get the lowest level subscription for a few dollars per year but the lowest one only gets you five page views per day. One or two wrong clicks and you won't even be able to get the score you were looking for. The unlimited page views cost $140 per year.

I confirmed with On3 this morning that there are only two yearly subscription models. This is what they replied back:

"We do not have a click based model. 119.99/year is standard. We do have an ad free subscription. That is 149.99/year."

I got my figures when I tried to look at CalPreps, which is now called hsratings.com and is now subscription based.

Appears I mixed up the two; thank you for the clarification.

No problem. I'm not sure if that was a former Rivals site, but not all Rivals sites were transferred over. I know some of the college fan sites that were duplicated on both Rivals and On3, ended their contracts on July 1st. I saw that the Syracuse site is now part of SI

One benefit of an On3 subscription is the ability to read all the fan sites across the entire On3 network. College and high school. It's also a lot easier to create content compared to Rivals, which is why I did more team previews this year.

Another update. Two more College sites received their old forum posts this week, so fingers are still crossed. Additionally, all my Premium articles from 2022 have been restored today, so they are making progress.
