Some of those illegal cowbell games were as nuts as I have seen. Everyone stayed for the game because that was the only way to see it in the late 90s... Good times. But, I will take these times now.

OBLIGATORY POST: YOU DAMN CURRENT STUDENTS BETTER KNOW HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT!!!!

I remember parts but it's a bit hazy. Like when LSU's punter came out and started doing warm ups during our Homecoming court thing and the student section got a bit rabid. I seem to recall him shanking a kick into the student section and we refused to give the ball back.

That entire season was a whirlwind of whiskey showers and exultation. The DPR was still new and fresh and there were times when the entire student section would dance along. Every game we were on the edge of our seats from start to finish. And as great as that season was, this one feels so much better. I only wish I could be there for every moment like I was back then.

I remember that clearly as well. I also remember it being brought up several years later, either here or on GP, and some poster piped up and mentioned that ball was sitting on his mantle.

Alabama '96 is pretty high up. I think the year is right ... it's the game where the skydiver stalled and fell to the ground near the north goal post. As I recall, it was 17-16 our way. Goal posts came down that night.

UF-'92; Texas-'91; Tennessee-'94; 'bama-'92 and '94

And OM '91 was like an outdoor party atmosphere in the cold.

Speaking of atmosphere. Michael Cohen of the Commercial Appeal attended OM's and our Game Day. He said it's not even close how much louder our stadium is. He also talked to a few national writers and they said we currently have the loudest stadium in the country.

Yeah, and what's crazy is, and no one every believes you, but it's really not the cowbells. The "yell only" times with Auburn were just as loud, if not louder, than the bell times.

I remember one of the ESPN announcers saying in 2010, (Blackledge during the Ark Game maybe), that he though Davis-Wade would turn into the Autzen of the South. That was a heck of a compliment, IMO.

Cohen also pointed out that the vast majority rang responsibly.

Students weren't quite as responsible.

Florida 2009 is in my top 5, but alos should note that I didn't make the 2007 Alabama, 2010 Arkansas game, nor any this year.

The 2000 Florida game was excellent, for sure. Freshman year.

On tv you could tell when center was over the ball, crowd went from bells to yells and it was just as loud.

I don't know if we have the loudest. When LSU returned that fumble it was pretty awe inspiring how loud it got

Florida 1992 was pretty rowdy. Crowd gave Shane Matthews hell all night!

I was at the '92 game, and I credit that night for making me a full-fledged bulldog for life. I'd been born and raised a Razorback and attended UPig my freshman year, never missing a single athletic event. Kang Jackie had me schziphrenic until that Thursday night on ESPN.

We bounced dog biscuits off FLA linemen's helmets, sang "There goes the Heisman" to Shane after The Visor benched him in the 2nd half, and rained down a hundred cups full of jack-n-coke on the FLA lineman who lost his temper and hurled an 8 ounce cup of gatorade into the student section. I had no voice for a week after that night.

I took my wife and four children (Ages 9, 7, 5, 3.5) to aTm this year...and that was the loudest stadium sporting event I have ever experienced. I can't imagine what the AU game was like.

Loudest ever. And I've been to the '96 Olympics, NLCS Braves games, SEC Championship in the Georgia Dome and a hundred other events. MSU-AU 2014 was the loudest I've ever heard. WITHOUT the cowbells. It just got _beyond_ noise when the clanga started up.

This past game was such an incredible atmosphere. I barely sat down the whole game. It was like the student section and I was in the "grown up" section.
