Even the Chris Peterson, Cam Newton, and CJ Johnson sagas had NOTHING on this ****. I swear some of you think we should have had a new coach 3 months ago... this is unbearable. Everyone saying "17 it, hire [Redacted]..." damn... we don't even have a 17ing hire yet!! Let Stricklin finish the damn hire before you start launching a war against him. He may 17 it up, yes... but he may find someone that will help give our program a fresh facelift and do great things for us long term. And no, no one on this board is "in the know."<div>

I think most of us expected our job to be a tad more attractive than what is being allegedly being put forth to the public. It's caused some overreaction. The one thing about our football search - no one had an idea. We have bball coaches who have admitted to being interviewed who have pulled out of the running. Just doesn't look good publicly.

and we have a coach. I can't expect every coach in the country to be knocking down the doors wanting to coach here... but stranger things have happened... and no one knows, despite what they say. Just with all the panic here, it's become unbearable to read. I'll ***** and moan like everyone else will if Strick makes a ****** hire and it becomes clear that there wasn't a ton of interest, but until that time comes, I refuse to judge the situation.

And that is surprising to me. But like I've been saying for a couple of months now, the MSU basketball job is not nearly as attactive nationally as most on this board would like to believe. If we can hire the next Rick Stansbury, we've hit a home run with this hire.

is attractive and that is all you are looking at then "most" of us are right. If you are looking at returning "talent", fan expectations, what happened to the previous winningest coach ever, national perception of the program at the moment, and looking at it from a purely neutral point of view..............you have a lot to think about. That being said you CAN win here, and win big. Richard AND Stans have proven that.
