edited to say look at these:http://www.clarionledger.com/picture-gallery/sports/

Overall it held up awesomely under the circumstances. That spot on the NE 30ish yard line was torn up by pregame warmups, players concentrated in one spot for too long. I asked the guy with me beginning of 4th Q if he noticed anything unusual about both teams uniforms? After getting no answer I told him to look at the white parts of the uniforms, no mud apparent from the stands! That's pretty amazing after the toad strangling gully washer of a rain we got between 2-4. I didn't stay until post game, left after the alma mater, but guessing Bart had the mowers going before lights out to cut the turf that was torn loose then they probably swept it w/ pull behind vacuum units or used mowers with baskets . Today or tomorrow they will hit it lightly with some nitrogen to stimulate growth and P & K for root repair. It may need some sand/topdressing in the worst spots but daily irrigation, sunshine and that light fertilization should have it ready to go Saturday no problem. The Junction, that's a totally different story...

Did they leave the white diagonal lines in the end zone? Although they don't look that great you know which field you are looking at when you see those lines year in and year out, tradition! That said I hate Notre Dame and couldn't stand Beano Cook either

Yes they kept the diagonal lines

Only thing different is big ND logo at midfield. Artificial turf does look wierd at Norte Dame though
