I would imagine a lot of coaches are interested in the Georgia job. Unless UGA has reciprocal interest, it's just meaningless speculation.

I thought that after his episode at Arkansas he was basically blackballed from the SEC.

Petrino might have interest but I can assure you that Georgia would/does not.

Interesting, and it wouldn't surprise me at a certain level. I'm assuming that the same reasons UK didn't reach out to Petrino, would be a number of the same reason Georgia wouldn't attmept to hire him. I may be 100% wrong but I'm kind a in the camp that feels Petrino has burned his SEC coaching bridges.

According to other boards, that rumor emanated from a "fake" Bruce Feldman twitter account, which allegedly has been taken down. He has as much a chance of leaving right now as Coach Stoops, and for the same two reasons:

1) terms of current contract not suitable for leaving, and
2) demand for his services likely very low right now

Could he offer his interest to a school? Sure, but highly unlikely, because of the reasons above. More likely some individual playing a prank.

Probably no fire to that smoke. I don't think he's won enough at UL
Maybe not this time around yet but he has much more to go on than just his two years in Louisville. He was wildly successful at UofL the first time and Arkansas. I think that is what will intrigue teams about Bobby. Not the last two seasons where he was playing with a team built solely to play defense (a mistake of Charlie Strong's). He's spent two years trying to right the wrongs of the prior staff. He will be fine and everyone except for Cat fans know it. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Georgia went after him.
It doesn't really matter though because Bobby isn't going anywhere. He is not the same guy he was before and he feels like he owes Tom for giving him this chance. Tom made sure he wasn't bringing hitchhiker Bob back. Bobby is here to stay.

Pretty sure that Petrino is still black balled by the SEC so it's probably all mute

Like most of your fellow yard birds you are not willing to admit that your scumbag ad and program is the ONLY place in the country that he would be the perfect fit...hell 95% of your male fanbase that are father's wouldn't care if that was your wife or your daughter and he did something like that at Otis as long as he wins games... Just ask Public Enemy

Let's wait and see if he has changed. Of course all UL fans think he has changed. He is always looking for the next job.

Petrino is a jerk, and if a big time program from a P5 conference came after him, he'd take it. He's got no loyalty to TJ and UL.

Tom was so confident he was a changed man he made him sign one of the highest buyouts ever. Lol. Noone is looking at honest Bob for at least a couple more seasons.

Make no doubt about it, Honest Bob would jump in the cart he was caddying with his daughter, take a hard right out of the church parking lot and run over Tom and the fans on the way out to coach in the SEC again.

I don't think so. He messed with happy the first time and got burnt. He won't make the same mistake twice. I hate to tell you guys but he's here to stay this time around. Why coach in the SEC when you are coaching at an SEC-like type school who's path to the Playoff is a little easier than an SEC school? THough I would argue this year's SEC East was about as pitiful as I can ever remember.

"SEC-type" school?

Seriously?

Don't be deluded by your recent run against a bad UK program. Don't be deluded by a victory against an overrated Florida team two years ago. Instead, you should carefully the all-time historical scores for UofL against non-UK SEC teams. It's comical to me, but would be disturbing to you.

What a joke. People in Georgia can't stand him. They don't think much of Grantham either. When Petrino left the Falcons for Arkansas, he left in the middle of the year after he told Arthur Blank he would finish the season. Then he left in the middle of the night without even telling the players. He typed up a note and slid it into each players locker. What a scummy person.

Basically if Louisville wins against an sec team, the team was either overrated or bad?

I'm pretty sure you don't know the difference between mute and moot.
Really...wish we could mute all you yard birds from coming here and spewing your BS about hiring the dirt bag , but alas it is a moot point because their isn't enough between the ears..just a little typo and senior moment...oh yes...go to hell and kiss my a$$!!

Basically, yes, and Louisville's overall history against non-UK SEC teams confirms exactly that. It's every bit as proportionately putrid, albeit against a smaller sample size, as UK's history against the SEC. Given that premise, when Louisville does beat the SEC, chances are it's going to be against a woefully bad team.

Louisville is 2-17-1 all time against sec schools not named UK. Amazingly, one of those was a victory over Alabama in the 1991 Fiesta bowl.

They are even more putrid against the SEC than kentucky is. And, that is saying something.
