bring him back for a couple of years to coach the team we will have the next year or so...and also take that time to do some serious evaluating of head coaching prospects around the nation...

a recruiting class. Of course, this clusterf@ck of a program may be so far gone, it doesn't matter either way.

Many of his teams were just brutal to watch. Even a couple of the decent ones.

I was in grad school working for the athletic department when he was coach. There were just as many if not more transfers then and it would have been even worse if Stansbury didn't drive to get half of them back. Further, we weren't exactly a model of consistency on the court. We had some real train wreck seasons under him.

How many of Williams transfers went on to start for BCS schools or make a Final Four like The Recruiter's have?

Williams was not consistent, but to say our teams when he had talent under him werent well-coached is an outright lie. Let me see you try to run an offense with Erick Stevens and Johnnie Walker on your frontline, with Vince Embry coming in off the bench. You cant say more than 1 of his teams underachieved in his tenure- but The Recruiter has 4-5 of those.

I didnt say he should be the permanent coach, but while we have some talent on campus, he would undoubtedly be a pretty good short-term solution

Let's just say it's a good thing, there wasn't a sixpack back then.
Take away the cinderella '96 year and Richard was like 1-10 in SECT games. He was snake bit much like Stans luck in the NCAAs. That is the one stat that he leads in.

Forgot about the RWHC. Now, was that one guy in there because RW wouldn't give someone a ride from the airport? Or was that poster a RW supporter because he did give him a ride from the airport? I forget.
