I hope Neil Price loves it here....

I listen to other schools broadcasts when we are out and about on Saturday and they are almost all awful. Literal bush league from biased commentary, delivery and painting a picture of the game. Neil was an awesome hire. He’s the opposite in every way. Great call!
UT’s might be the worst. Neil is great and hope he sticks around

I think Neil could do a much better job describing the plays as they happen. A lot of times I don't know if yards have been gained or lost until Neil and Natt explain it better after the play.

But, I like his voice and general presentation. And, yes, he is much better than most of the other guys out there right now.

If you’re talking about UT Knoxville, Bob Kesling retired last year, thankfully. We now have Mike Keith, former voice of the Tennessee Titans. It’s a lot better than it used to be. Too bad we’re inconsistent on the field, it’d be even better.

Bama’s and that goofball qb they use to have may be THE worst!
I’m not sure if you mean on the radio because I’ve honestly never heard it but man I can’t stand when McElroy calls our games or having to listen to him call any game in watching. I’m not sure it’s just because I hate Alabama (which I do) so I just automatically hate him as a person or just because he just comes off as a pompous *** hole but jeez I can’t stand it.

As I’m typing this, I’m realizing how much I truly hate most tv commentators. I realize there’s so many college games on tv during a given Saturday that you kind of have to take what you get but god 95% of them suck.

Cross actually does a decent job but I can’t ever forget the time Mullen was going to do the egg bowl and they threw a fit and got it 86ed. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that. It’s perfectly fine for him to call our games, though.

Whomever it was that first posted that they play our broadcast and synch it with the tv and got me doing that years ago is a real hero. I always end up waiting until mid season for some reason to start doing it but it’s truly the way to go. Even my tween age son prefers it. We are lucky to have had the best to do it for all those years and Neill is such a great replacement. We may be habitually behind or sub par on a lot of things but our radio broadcast is second to none

I've listened to OU's radio broadcast team, they actively criticize the Sooners play calls/coaching decisions.

I’d have to put Yellum Kellum in the intolerable listen bracket. Each call is as if they were the first man on the moon.
(Insert name of UM player here) takes the ball toward the right!! He breaks a tackle!! Then another!!!!!! He reverses his field!!!!!!!!!!!! And he is finally dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a loss of 5 yards on the play......

We were in Gulf shores headed to a restaurant and all we could pick up on XM was the Arkansas broadcast. Boy were they ready to burn referees at the stake. They too thought horse collar on the final play.

I think USM's guy has gotten a lot better but when he first replaced Bill Goodrich (yes I'm that old), he would explode on every play with "AND THERE GOES X UP THE MIDDLE THROUGH A GAPING HOLE...for a 2 yard gain!"

Listened to Bama's earlier this year. Always thought Eli Gold was really good. ....It's a clown show now.
It's a noticeable drop off...like a chasm. Meanwhile, Eli now has a home calling Jacksonville State.

Is there anyone else on this board who remembers fat Stan Torgerson up on the plantation?
Barely remember him calling games as a child. Was truly horrible. Although Stan was a good guy.

Will probably get blasted for this but I wasnt an Eli Gold fan either. Too much of a homer for my taste. Great at NASCAR though. His replacement Chris Stewart is getting better but is no Eli Gold. Homer times two as well

I liked Kesling at TN. Munson was great at GA as well.

The view from the press box must be pretty poor at Arkansas. The TV announcers frequently got things wrong, or couldn't tell what was happening. Maybe they were just greenhorns. I also thought horse collar on the last play until it was evident on the replay.

To me, Munson sounded a lot like Jack although Jack was better.

I liked Eli + Stabler and also the LSU guy from the 80s. Mainly because that’s before everything was on TV and our living room stereo could pick up LSU on AM, so gave me a chance to watch whoever was in ESPN and listen to a second game on Saturday night.

I really enjoy listening to Neil, but Matt Wyatt mumbling in the background like he’s Nostradamus, drives me insane.

I loved the playoff broadcasts where it was the sky cam and no commentators - just the background noise and stadium announcer

He is the best. Dare I say it, better than Cristil’s last decade or two.
