I just hope this team doesn't have internal issues....

if it isn't truly a team then we will lose out. Losing can destroy a team if it is not capable of dealing with it. On the other hand, losing can make a team stronger. I believe we learn this Saturday if this team has it together or not. IF we play hard and show some emotion we will be ok for the remaining games. IF we go through the motions we are done and have much bigger issues than a lack of talent. I now believe we finish either 7-5 or 9-3. It all hinges on how we approach the game vs LSU.

And what and where did this come from? Why even say this without any shred of..

evidence that there is even remotely anything negative happening within this team? Dumbass post. Sorry, but it is.

I did not say we have internal issues....I only raised the question or thought. If you did not see any sign at all on Sat that this could be going on then you were not watching the same game I saw. We did not seem to care, period. Why in the world would we be emotionless? Why would we play with no effort? aTm did not seem to have any problem being up for the game but we certainly did. We rarely showed any sign of wanting to tackle anyone. Some say they saw us bickering among ourselves on the sidelines during all this fiasco. I did not see that. So, reach your own conclusion. I just simply posed the question. Obviously, you think there is nothing to it. I hope you are correct and believe we will confirm that by playing hard at BR this Sat. We shall see.

Usually when you have this many individuals in an organization, word gets out on something like that, be it football, business or whatever. The D is where I noticed a lack of effort initially, of course JF can have that effect on you. The O just seemed to suffer from poor scheming until Tyler tossed the pick on the scoring threat, then the air definitely went out of the whole place.

I think it could be several things

1. We've never played A&M since the Snow Bowl and so there isn't much "hate" on our part yet. A&M on the other hand is trying to prove that they belong in the SEC.

2. I think the early starts are not very favorable as far as energy for our players and fans.

3. I think we play a style of defense that is not very aggressive and the players reciprocate that.

4 I think our confidence was hurt by Bama a little bit.

5. We had a crap game plan on offense and defense for whatever reason.

6. I wonder if Jackie has gotten in Dan's ear with his BS about only getting a team up three times a year.

7. White helmets- we should know better.

8. This game is stuck in between Bama and LSU for us.

9. We may have focused more on ST this week after they killed us against Bama and the other units suffered.

10. We struggle against any mobile QB. We had trouble getting Tyler Bray down much less Johnny Manziel. And I think we let him dictate what we did on defense too much.

So, I think there were several things that came together or might have come together as ingredients for the shitburger that we saw Sat.

Todd on no 8. Normally I would agree with you but Bama was not a heart breaking loss this year because we didn`t put ant heart into it. It was almost as obvious to me as the A&M game that we were just going through the motions.

There had to be a something going on Saturday

I was shocked at the lack of emotion at the end of pregame warmups. When the team ran (walked) over to the student section most of them just walked over and walked back. I can't remember a time when they were not jumping up and down. They were as flat as I have seen a team since the 45-0 egg bowl. It scares me to think about it, but there is more going on than just a bad game plan.

A poster pointed out (paraphrasing) "Mullen spinning Wilson around and chewing him out to the point it looked like he was going to whip his ***". On many levels that just doesn`t sound good to me. And before any of you football experts feel you need to explain to me that that is what coaches do let me explain to you there is a line that can be crossed in almost any situation. I strongly sense there is something wrong beyond X`s and O`s.

i don't think that is quite the problem. I personally believe that team was so set on winning a championship based on what the coaches and players have been saying like "17 a bowl game" that after getting torched by bama that they are trying to find out who they really are. i think they bought in to being 7-0 thought they were championship caliber, and they got a hard really hard dose of reality when playing alabama. the first few offensive drives weren't that bad in the bama game, but when the drives fell apart the whole game fell apart. we have had issues on defense all year long, but that kind of got swept under the rug because of our record and we were winning. Now, it's been exposed and i think the players have lost the confidence they had and their want to win after bama. that definitely showed that at the TAMU game. we weren't focused. we were out of position and we were not executing well at all at anything.

I agree with everything you said. I think because of this we need to play younger players and maybe this will get the older players heads out of their asses!

I made this exact same point in another thread and agree with you 100%. If upper-classman X wants to walk around and be a little whiny ***** and not tackle and not give "relentless" effort, sit his ***.

Exactly. I guarantee the second team would come into the game with more energy if the starters would have been benched after that first series. Then emotions would start to fester within the starters as they sat and watched the B team try to take over their positions and they would be begging to get back in the game and whoop some tail.
