I just watched the 3rd down play again and....

Dixon jumped over the pile and would have scored. But the other thing he did was he brought Chad Jones right into the throwing lane. If Dixon had gone right up the middle, we score. Or even if he didn't jump at all, we would have scored. Sickening loss.

And I still can't figure out why Tyson didn't lunge into the endzone on 4th down.

1. Great playcall
2. Lee is 5'10 and that is hurting us- thats on Crooms for having such piss poor QB's
3. Mullen has us in position to beat good teams with ****** QB's and below average talent
4. We need Melvin to deliver a ****-load of money to QB's and DB's
5. We are on the right track and WE WILL WIN under Dan Mullen

6. This one 17'ing hurts though. Being numb during the Croom's Error is over...This **** hurts

No way, so the play calls killed us. Now, having said that, the play action pass was wide *** open, so it should have worked. Still, I was calling to ride Dixon or else to bring in Relf and let him sneak it in. That call on 3rd down either works and you look like a genius, or else it fails and you leave yourself open to being labeled as an asshat along the likes of Les Miles. The 4th down play was wide *** open as well had Lee puled it back and pitch to Dixon. Would have looked genius had it worked, but execution was lacking. Either of the last 2 calls on the goal line were high risk, high reward. Calling one of them is okay, but two in a row? I'm scratching my head on that one. Bottom line is that it was the lack of physical attributes on the part of Lee (to obviously no fault of his own) that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. 2nd and goal from way inside the 1 yard line and we expect the mighty midget to win the game for us when we have a hoss like Anthony Dixon in the backfield and a 230 lb QB like Relf on the sideline? I am disappointed in that decision. I don't see Lee as being physically gifted enough to win for us. I am all for bringing in Relf and burning the RS on Russell. Lee has been exposed. All an opposing DL has to do is hold your ground and get your hands up when Lee tries to pass. They will knock it out of the sky half the time.

no ****, I'm just saying that Dixon carried his fake right into the passing lane. He brought Chad Jones right into it. I don't have a huge problem with call but I like handing it off to Dixon better or running 2 sneaks in a row with Relf. If they don't score on 3rd down, then it would have ensured that LSU has no time left when they get the ball back.

The losses didn't hurt for the last couple years due to low expectations. This one hurts. It's almost a good feeling though because I believe we may really be on our way back.

Yeah, but it's great to be competitve again. We are a legit QB and maybe 1 corner away from being a really good football team.

maybe AD 4 times does work but what was called could have worked, too. It does hurt and it has been a long time since it hurt like this. I hate it for the kids and the coaches. We never hurt as much as they hurt.
