No way I could pull for Dawn Staley against anyone.
I don't want him to match his top level at State.
South Carolina is wasting a lot of money on WBB. That helps us in the long run, since they are more on our level in athletics.

It's isn't Schafer's fault that Cohen ran him off.
Well, who did? Schafer was out of here with the first team to offer him a job. I think it was because Cohen and his wife Nelle were sick and tired of Schafer's Christian prothelezing.
It actually is. You just can't have an assistant coach having a relationship with a player.
I'm the opposite. I don't mind Schaefer winning it all, but I damn sure ain't pulling for Staley vs anyone.
They just beat us in baseball and for most of the time beat us at WBB. what do we have to do to get to the next level in sports??
The only time we have gotten to the next level in sports in all of recorded history is winning the natty in baseball with a team chock full of leaders/on the field coaches. Lemon has not maintained that culture. Choker Vic was close but never finished the job and bolted (sanctimonious POS). It was cringey when he said, "Praise the Lord and Go Dawgs." It's even cringier to hear, "Praise the Lord and Hook 'em Horns." The Lord doesn't give two ***** about the dawgs or the horns you POS philistine.
Long story short, no State team will ever get to the next level in sports (how is our disc golf team doing?). I have come to be at peace with that. I still wear the gear. I still watch the games. I just know that the dawgs will forever let me down.

I'm thinking UCONN wins out. Huskies are rolling downhill like a big ole' freight train. I don't think Dawn or Vic can stop them this time.
Vic reminds me a little bit of Hugh Freeze. There’s a bit of snake oil salesman religion in both of them. He’s not nearly as bad as Freeze though.
In 10 years, South Carolina has gone from one of the worst programs in SEC history to the 3rd most prolific NCAA women's basketball program of all time and poised to possibly climb to #2 or even #1 (if Dawn can go on a Geno-like run) over the next 10-15 years.
It would be one thing to spend millions to become a top 10 program for a while and maybe you can go to the Final Four or win a title, but if you're talking about "wow, we can dethrone Tennessee and UConn in the next decade and become the undisputed greatest WBB program in the country," it's money well spent.
