I just have to know, and I do want to take you at your word. Do you really believe any of this? And what, so far, has inspired this belief in Lebby that I would think it is fair to say the rest of us are missing? Or at least some of us are not seeming to understand. I really want to be optimistic about MSU football, and share in your optimism. Please tell me again about how great it will be in 2 to 3 years.
Typically year 3-4 is when things click in portal heavy rebuilds. Cignette is an outlier.
Right now the OL turnover hurts because we’re asking really big guys to play more snaps than anyone in the country in space. But every cycle we’re getting more athletic, condition ready linemen who fit the scheme. Once we have 8-9 guys who can handle Lebby’s pace without gassing, the system becomes an advantage instead of a liability. I also say 2-3 more years, at least 2, because we’re basically starting over on defense and Arnett will need ample time to find and get his type of guys all settled in his scheme. So a couple more cycles of offseason smart moves and then we could be talking about a string bowl streaks and ranked finishes instead of these fire the coach threads.

And don’t listen to DesotoCountyDawg, he’s a Debbie downing-mall cop who wants to ban everyone who doesn’t agree with him. The other guys is an idiot who posts about lactic acid and other retarded stuff. I think they’re both gay, and that’s probably why DCD hates me and makes fun of me because I’m an out spoken Christian.

Thank you for your answer. I will say it was lucid, and well articulated. I will have to consider those points. Also, and for the record, I take no stance on Desoto. My interactions with him have always been positive. I take no stance on you being a Christian as well. Everyone should be able to worship as they see fit.

ChatGPT, can you take the above and transform it into something MSU fans said about Croom in 2006?

Typically year 3–4 is when things finally start to click in a full teardown rebuild, and that’s what Croom inherited. People forget how bare the roster was when he got here—scholarships down, lines thin, not enough SEC bodies. You can’t fix that overnight, especially when you’re trying to build it the “right way.”

Right now the OL struggles because we’re asking big guys to play too many snaps without real depth behind them. That’s what happens when you’re rebuilding numbers and strength at the same time. But every recruiting cycle, we’re getting more SEC-ready linemen—guys who can actually handle four quarters without wearing down. Once we’ve got 8–9 linemen who belong at this level, the whole offense looks different.

Same deal on defense. Croom is still trying to get his kind of players—disciplined, physical, assignment-sound guys who can run his system. That doesn’t happen in one or two classes, especially when you’re basically starting from scratch. It’s going to take time for everyone to learn the scheme and for the roster to finally match it.

Give it another couple years—at least two. A few more smart recruiting classes, some continuity, and suddenly we’re not talking about surviving Saturdays, we’re talking about bowl games again. This program didn’t get broken overnight, and it’s not getting fixed overnight either. If people can stay patient, the foundation Croom is laying now could turn into consistent bowls instead of these weekly “fire the coach” conversations.

That definitely takes you back down Genespage memory lane. Thanks hair.

I was just curious, and enjoy conservations with those of different view points. He certainly does not seem to like you very much does he? Which is not a sentiment I share.
No that’s fine. I just think it’s kind of silly that he’s posting with two different names that have two different “personas”.

No that's not silly. It would be silly if he was posting with two different names that have the same personas. At least this way he can argue with himself when there is no one else around. I'm still trying to figure out who his, or her, third persona is. The three faces of Eve and all that.
