CO just had a player clearly foul a ball off the bat in a bunt attempt which then hit him and was awarded a base.

It was reviewed, and upheld.

Not sure if anyone else saw it. I’ll try to find a clip.

Didn’t see it, but I don’t think a foul tip is reviewable so can’t change the call via replay. I’ve seen the opposite happen - batter get hit but they called it a foul and couldn’t review since it was ruled foul tip.

Wait, it was reviewed and they decided it was a fair ball that hit him, but he wasn't out?

this is the best video i can find. Replay showed a slow version where it clearly hit his hand / bat then bounced up and hit him in the helmet.

The MLB said they couldn’t tell if the ball hit his finger or the bat. So, they let the call on the field stand.
