I like Rick as our coach fine and think overall he does a good job. He brings in quality talent every year although we seem to have trouble keeping it here but that is besides the point. My real problem is zone offense. It has probably been discussed but I'm just curious. At the beginning of the game Ole Miss was in a zone and we were shooting lights out and built up a 25-12 lead. But give credit for Kennedy not giving up on the zone, because he knew it would eventually work to their favor. I was surprised considering our lineup that Ole Miss ran a zone, but I don't know why i was surprised. I think most teams haven't run a zone against us because of our four guard lineup so this problem has been masked this year so far. We have absolutely no offense against a zone. None and we never have under Stans. I don't understand it. We pass the ball around the three point line and make little dribble jabs into the defense then just pass it to the person to their side and they do the same until about six on the shot clock and we throw up a contested three. The elbow was wide open yesterday, have some people penetrate all the way through the zone, get it to the elbow and kick it out or dump it down to the block when someone from the bottom comes to defend. I don't know, its just very aggravating to watch team look that lost offensively against a zone every year.
