Post Game Thoughts
Watched on HailStateTV tonight, liked what I saw. It's like we rolled back the clock ten years style-wise. Play tough D, create turnovers, pound it inside on the offensive end. And that's not a bad thing, we had a ton of success that way and started having less success as we moved further away from those roots. Roquez Johnson was doing a heck of a Brandon Vincent impersonation. We need to always have a guy like that who just brings his lunch pail and cleans up everything near him. Fred Thomas is our best offensive player, and if he can keep hitting open jumpers he'll be the one constant threat we can have. Sword needs to be playing the 2 more than the 1, he's obviously less comfortable in the roll. Bloodman scraps really hard and isn't terrible. Ware seems to have potential.
We will struggle against good offensive teams who won't turn it over because not only will they score more, we won't score as much due the lack of transition opportunities against turnovers. We just don't have enough guys who can create their own shot on offense, but hopefully that comes. There seems to be a light at the end of this tunnel, or at least a smidgen of hope.
