To switch subjects regarding the NBA - Draymond's comment about it being boring is correct. No intensity in the game. I tried to watch some games this year and it's pointless until the playoffs where a semblance of defense is played.
And the sitting out is ridiculous too. I understand that guys get injured but most of the time I turn on a game at least one of the big name players is on the bench. They might need to shorten the season.
I disagree about defense being played. If an NBA team doesn’t play defense on any given night they get destroyed. The abilities of these guys now to shoot and also pass makes it look like defense isn’t being played.
I agree with everything he said, except the part about stars should get more calls than new/unknown guys. The calls should be the same for everyone. If not, its a self fulfilling prophecy, you designate one guy a star, then let him get away with everything and anybody who looks at him gets called. This. 100%. I will say that the defense played during the regular season is a shadow of what it turns into during the playoffs. But saying NBA teams don’t play defense is ludicrous.

The intensity of the defense is the same. What changes in the playoffs is the advanced scouting. They hold all their trump cards and play them in the playoffs against other teams.
