The heart and energy we played with in 2009 and 2010 is totally gone. The staff seemed to fight for everything and the players left it all on the field. I'm afraid now that we've had some success that things have become too comfortable for our staff.
We have the same OC, OL, TE, DL, and safeties coach as we did 4 years ago. And since we've had some success, it doesn't seem like anyone is afraid to lose their job. They don't have that passion they did the first two years when they had something to prove.
I think over the next month every single player at every position and every coach and assistant on staff need to be re-evaluated. The drive in this team is gone and I blame the coaches for it. We've got good players on both sides of the ball and in our last 6 games we looked totally outmatched in every facet of the game. Something is not right and changes need to be made. We need to go back to the drawing board and re-evaluate everything we are doing because we played very poorly the last half of the year.
I want to see a more arrogant Dan Mullen that is dog cussing everyone and holding everyone responsible because right now it's what we need. That fire is gone, and we have to find some way to get it back.
