I just skimmed through the thread, and there hasn't been a non-pissing-match post in probably 2 pages. Just an all-around low-quality thread.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Any fan of either of our schools that thinks their success is dependent on the other school's failure hasn't been paying attention. If anything, it has been proven that both of our programs can and are often successful at the same time. Amazingly, both of our programs are often horrible at the same time as well. If you're excited about Mullen, great. I don't see crowning a guy that hasn't proven anything yet, but excitement over the possibilities, sure. If he brings you back to winning some football games, good for you. It may make the Egg Bowl a little bit more difficult if Mullen does turn out to be good, but outside of that, it won't have a major effect on our ability to win, which is what matters most to me. To be honest with you, I was more concerned with the hire at Auburn than the one at MSU, because in recent history, we've benefitted more from the struggles of Auburn, LSU, and Bama than we've benefitted from MSU's struggles.
