I rarely get what I call inside info, but I bump into a few that do.

And last night I heard some not so good news. My "source" says the usual, wholesale changes on the offensive side of the ball. But the horrible part was that Croom will be given two more seasons with a new staff to get things going.

That news bumped my season ticket renewal way down the priority list.

will go 60+ socialists, plus Obama?

It's the only thing I can think that would be worse.

No way do I believe this is legit, but if it is, Croom and Byrne will likely leave together.</p>

two years with strings attached - hands off the offense, become a CEO head coach. just trying to find a silver lining. if you could call it that. we'd still be stuck with his unbelievably bad game management skills.

Just throwing out what I heard. I will say this though. The guy that I got this crap from is, like many here, a long-time supporter...buys baseball, basketball, football tickets every year. Was the Sherrill loyalist to a fault and probably more of a sheep than anything.

He is done. He said that his last game was Auburn. Has not gone to a game since and said he is not going again until Croom was gone. He said he will go to baseball games and a few basketball games but no more football. To see this guy over it was tough. He was someone I could always count on to pump a little sunshine. I think he has blown past me on the way to apathetic fandom.

Thanks Sylvester Sherrill.

Croom will be given 2009, regardless

If he keeps the current staff, Croom will have to make a bowl game after the 2009 season

However, the most likely scenario is Woody is reassigned, a new OC is hired, that new OC has the right to put in a new system ----- there has already been contact made with a couple of people who might be interested

If a new OC is hired, Croom will be given 2009 and 2010

I do believe he will get another with a new OC, but that two yr promise is just lip service to give him a chance to hire a good coach. If we go 3-9 or 4-8 next year, and there are 25K at games, Crooms wont get 2010- thats a promise

Yeah, same here. If McCorvey is still around at Christmas, then that says alot about who is running the program and has the final say. If Crxxm is still around Christmas of 2009, because next year is going to be really bad, then I give up all together. Crxxm head coach in 2010 tells me that football isn't that important to the University. No need for me to care when the University doesn't.

the guy you got this from is just throwing out his conjecture. I mean, you don't exactly describe him as Mickey Holliman or something. You describe him as a long time loyal suppport of MSU sports.
