Don't blame Paul. Its one of the owners of 24/7 fault...huge Bammer.
Bama has the only main board on the site that other fans can't post on. They JUST created an "open" board in the Bama section so other people can post on it. It basically forces the trolls out of their Talladega Beaver Traps.

It's like some kind of plague spreading over there. We are lucky that our resident Bama fan is likeable and able to carry on a conversation like an adult.

Well, back in the day when the whole sports message board thing got started, I was on Genespage and The Rebel Vent a lot... I've always been the type cat that didn't want opinions that were the exact same as mine because I don't think that's an efficient way to learn... also, most Bammer fans (on the free sites) are arrogant, ignorant asses that couldn't find Bryant Denny with a squad of Recon Marines and, if they did, couldn't afford to get in even if they sold the 57 cases of Rolling Tide Red in their 17n attic.
I've made several friends both on this site and NAFOOM and still communicate with them from time to time. Mostly, i enjoy the witty banter... I also have fun correcting huge misconceptions and inaccuracies about SEC Football (specifically Alabama)... it's a fun diversion for when I'm not too busy with work or hobbies.
Oh, and I've spent as much time in MS as AL...
