I really like this new wild card format

But they deserve atleast a 3 game series.
I mean ****, they led the wild card all year and get rewarded with an elimination game.

I like it because it makes winning your division even more important and it rewards you for winning the division.

I agree. If you want to avoid the wild card game, win your division

And the Braves would choke no matter what round of the playoffs they start in. This one game choke just allowed for us fans to move on quicker than a 5 game series choke.

I think it should be at least three games, if they're going to keep two wild card teams.

That's a good argument, but to me it still doesn't justify advancement decided by a single game in a sport with as much individual game parity as baseball. Unlike the other two major sports, anyone has a roughly even shot at beating anyone else in any given game. If the MLB is going to keep doing this, it should at least be a three game series.
