I really wish everyone would quit bitching and just give Ray a chance at least

I heard that a lot of the big money boosters who "supported" the program aren't going to be "supporting" Ray's program as much. The guy sounds like he knows the game and I wanna see what he can do. I really hope this doesn't happen, because it means we are for sure going to have Ray fall flat on his face, and we're guaranteeing ourselves at least 4 years of being in the cellar. We will know in year one if this was a Croomesque hire. Until then, give the man your support. I admit, I wanted Stans out and I got my wish, so I'm going to support the new guy and so should all of you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in the camp of giving him a chance. BUT....Croom didn't need our fans' help to suck ***. His teams sucked even with tremendous support. Ray may be great in the long run, but I honestly cannot sit here and fault those that are bitching. It was a very questionable hire, and since then everything has pretty much gone wrong. I understand why people are pissed, and I think not supporting him can hurt the program, but I don't think being pissed about major attrition means people aren't supporting him. Maybe I'm wrong though

Bc truthfully, the average person here doesn't know **** about basketball coaching, who's a good coach, and who's not.

if what the original poster said is correct. Or any boosters for that matter. Or anyone on the fence about whether or not they should give to the Bulldog Club.<div>
</div><div>If you have the means, the minimum donation and game attendance should be regular, no matter the coach. We really do have to do our part.</div>

of someone that doesn't know **** about basketball. Come on man, I'm not saying "bad"...I'm saying "questionable". As for Goat's post, I agree with you about the people you just spoke of.

also said Hood was leaving but other people said that we didn't know what we were talking about. That said I think we are seeing just how bad the program was. We have the old guard trying to do their best to make things harder for Coach Ray. I didn't support the hire at first but I wish nothing but the best for him now after hearing all this crap.

but it might be a good idea if he would sit down with Marcello or someone and just explain what is going on. Kinda put some ease to why MSU is having to get 10 new basketball players in one year. I have never heard of attrition like that before so what's going on?

I wouldn't be suprised if some of these old guys are pissed off and some even mad we hired an African American coach.... Our basketball program should be bigger than one man.. We all need to get behind Coach Ray and support him, at least wait until he has coached a game to judge him...

Been talking to J-sizzle lately? Lets say we had hired Smart; would the boosters be acting the same way?

I remember internet giggling over the Aubies getting their panties in a wad. No, I'm not saying this means NC here we come.<div>
</div><div>Do people think we're gonna fire the guy and have a do-over?</div><div>
</div><div>I would hope most disgruntled fans would bite their lip, move on and give Dr. Keenum and Scott their support. Seems like they deserve it. And of course give Rick Ray their support.</div>

Read between the lines as to why everything "seems" to be going wrong right now with our basketball program. Someone that was apart of our program squealed on Stans and players are probably hitting the exits before things start coming down on us.....the P word. We hired a "disciplinarian" to soften the blow.

and his lazy *** players and the whole culture of the program the last few years.......All the players leaving is not on Ray......It's on Stans and now that they are being held accountable, the players don't like it........That's not Ray's fault.......Stans created all this and let this **** happen and Ray is simply paying for it.......
