My first trip out there. Weekday games make for superb lunch hours.

That said, the Braves suck. Bad. If not for MSU baseball's current death spiral, I'd say State could play with the M-Braves.

.....were headed down the same path as the M-Braves the way they started their season. Fortunately they won 5 in a row to get above .500, but they lost yesterday and are trailing Florida tonight.

And someone please, for the love of God, tell me how the hell the Marlins are a good team? They have no fans, they're always dumping players, they've only been in existence for about 15 years, and yet they're leading their division right now and they actually have 2 WS titles without even winning the division. DAMN!!

and player development- especially in Latin America. For teams like that, it's the only way they can hope to compete.

are horrible. Do we have a pitcher that is even worth starting a game with? At all? The fielding looks like the Bad News Bears.

Our first baseman that is now playing 3rd because Van Pope is hurt cannot get the ball to first. He lobs it. He overthrows. He throws short. He throws wide. If the other team hits it to third, we are screwed. I thought Pope was horrible last year. I had no idea how horrible horrible could be.

In 10 year old little leauge, our outfielders did not learn how to use the words "I got it." Ever. They run into each other. They all fall down and the ball falls to the ground between them where it remains for seconds on end.

These guys don't make much playing baseball. But, if they make $20,000 per year, it is $30,000 per year too much.

Not gonna use the excuse that they bought their first WS title, but they bought their first WS title. They signed a ton of players and dumped them all the next year. You look at the names on that team and it was basically an All Star team.

Most teams that try to buy a WS title like that end up in the cellar. Just ask most of the Rangers and Orioles teams from about 1995-2005.

Yeah, today left and center collided. They didn't run into each other. They both made a running-diving attempt at a ball and collided in mid air. Ouch. I don't if 2 guys could collide like that if they tried. They had to stop the game to check out the guy in left. Wasn't pretty.
