"WE WONT MISS DIXON"

"Dixon was a good back but we will be fine...and most probably a top 3 rushing team...Relf is going to rush for 800-900 yards this year by himself before you even get to the TB's..our OL will be even better blocking in this offense now that they have a complete understanding of it and a year of experience under their belt"- Coach34/May 25, 2010

Outcome? State finished 2nd in the SEC and Ballard ended up drafted higher than Dixon

Great thread from 2009 when we were recruiting Cam Newton:

Here's me saying Russell should redshirt when most of the board wanted him to play in 2009- some great quotes in this one- especially Bonedaddy:

Then there's me saying Russell wasnt a good fit for the Spread Option- while Patdog and others have said he is a "serviceable runner". To date, Russell has run 52 times for 114 yards. I dont call that serviceable.

"Relf is going to get 3/4 of the snaps this season"- Coach34, Spring Practice- 2010...that wasnt the consensus opinion, as showed by this post:

Hell, this whole thread is good:

I'll stop there- no need to keep going at this point

Russell's running stats work out to 2.3 yards per carry. Relf only averaged 3.0 last year.

So when Relf played hurt half the year and all the OL problems- he still had a higher ypc average? Good to know....what was his career average Pat?

Nobody loves the last word like Peaches

At least you did admit you were wrong in the other thread.

How many of those 52 carries are sacks? Without looking it up I'd feel comfortable saying Russell has a higher percentage of his runs that we're sacks--the nature of having a higher ratio of pass:run.

When Tyler does run the ball, he generally gains decent yardage, and yes I'd consider him serviceable.

Relf got sacked alot. To say he had bad footwork in the pocket would be a lie. He had no footwork in the pocket.
