I see Trump is already running campaign ads

Saw one during his Face the Nation interview yesterday......

The incumbent Mayor of Cincinnati has been running re-election ads for the past month, as he's got a nice special interest/machine war chest to spend. But, at least he's got a primary election to win this Spring.

I'd have thought national special interests would have more useful places to spend their money at this point with Trump, as far as I can tell, remaining some distance from a re-election campaign. Of course, he made a full-scale campaign appearance on Saturday night.

I find myself wondering if the taxpayers paid for his Harrisburg appearance.....I mean beyond his Secret Service entourage......or his campaign (or special interests) picked up the tab.

Did you all wonder these same things about Obama campaigning for Hillary? If not, sit down and shut up.

I love the two-faced approach to politics anymore.

Well, at least he didn't blow our money on another golf trip to Florida.

These are the petty musing some on the the right proffered for the last 8 years. Glad the left has decided this is the strategy they would borrow from the right. It was so effective.

You guys keep bitching because every time you do his popularity goes up. You guys are looking at a Reaganesque beat down if you don't figure something out between now and 2020.

Taxpayers paid for Hillary to fly on Air Force One for a campaign event. Obama also ran ads throughout his Presidency advocating for his issues. This is not uncommon.

As for you sudden concern about spending, how much debt did Obama pile up in 8 years? LMAO.

Those polls said she would win by 2-4%. She did.

And they NY Times using those polls gave her a near 90% chance of winning. National polls irrelevant. That is not how we elect Presidents. State polls much more meaningful and were woefully off.

BTW, without California, she loses the popular vote as well.

Did Obama do things like that; meaning, appear in a reserved arena.....3 months after touching the Bible......for the sole purpose of getting applause (and diverting media attention) while, say, CPAC was simultaneously going on ?? I think working the campaign stump for Hillary during the election cycle is at least a little different cup of tea; but if you disagree, that's OK with me

Anyway, let me know.....meanwhile, if you just answer my question who paid for Saturday night, I'll be delighted to go away. Lord knows.....and Lord knows, everyone knows you're one of HIS best pals.....arguing with you makes about as much sense as telling my cats to go clean their own litter boxes.

Let em defend this dumpster fire, we know how it will end. Comparing Trump to Obama is like comparing Trump to W or any other president, he doesn't measure up at all. He is who we all knew he was before he grabbed his supporters pussies and they started propping up his ******** as deeper than his thin skin. Did you read what he said about the Civil War? lol

He was pushing for economic stimulus, not campaigning for re-election.

I know you are not this stupid. This is something I would expect out of PATX or 2007.

Trump isn't campaigning for next election. He's campaigning for approval percentage. But you know this already.

Not sure what BHO was doing back in 2009 was comparable to what Trump was doing on Saturday night; but since you hate Obama as much as Trump's opponents hate him, I can understand how you'd attempt to make the parallel.

There are some not so bright people on this board, but you have them all beat and by a pretty wide margin. Congrats. Likely the only prize other than a participation trophy you have ever won.

Obama was selling tax and spend. Trump is selling his first 100 days.

Both are the same to me, on our dime.

The only thing I ask in regard to Trump is that we give him time before we judge his Presidency and that we base it on his programs and how they effect the country. I don't gauge how he measures up based on retoric vs. other Presidents.

"Grab 'em by the *****"

We know how this ends.

Do you want to discuss Dem president's treatment of women? LMAO. Saying something is one thing, actually doing the things that Clinton, LBJ, JFK, and the rest of the Kennedy clan is far different. Hypocrite

I happen to agree with that; with all the tax dollars Dems clearly love to spend, Trump would fit right in with his military, infrastructure, and border wall proposals.

Trump is NOT a conservative. He is a populist. And spending is not his priority as it is with true conservatives.

The question will be, are his deficits and debt higher or lower than Obama's after his term ends. Obama is the gold standard for piling up debt.

You do realize that Obama increased the debt by 68%......Bush increased it by 101%.......Clinton only 32%.......HW Bush 54%........and Reagan......186%........

Chew on those numbers!

Amusing, who paid for all of Obama's trips to tout his Presidency or to advocate for his issues? Intellectual honesty is in rare supply on this board at times.

$9T in new debt under Obama. By far, the greatest amount of debt every piled up. Nice try.

(CNSNews.com) – The federal government passed a fiscal milestone on the first business day of fiscal 2017—which was Monday, Oct. 3—when the total federal debt accumulated during the presidency of Barack Obama topped $9,000,000,000,000 for the first time.
