I see we locked down another 2* athlete.

That's been the case for ages and it's not just been recent news or limited...

to football.

Cases in point: Hugh Green, Rooster Jones, and Charles Jones.

I have no idea what high school a given 2* recruit goes to. I don't even know what HS 4* Aeris goes to, and don't give a **** either. Unless they play my kids 5A coast team, I aint gonna see them. I will follow what is written about them. You on the other hand, have no clue what my post was saying if you think I was bashing 2* athletes. What sentence gave you that idea? Just because I don't agree with you (although I don't see anything in my post that didn't agree with yours) doesn't mean I'm not a loyal fan. I still have a heirloom "Sessums The Capital of the World" tee shirt. Can't be more than a dozen of those still around*.

Curious--did you actually go to MSU or are you just a "fan"? Your reading comprehension skills have me wondering where your education cut off.

More than likely, a couple of the 24/7 guys just watched his tape in the last couple days and liked what they saw. I'm not sure on this, but I don't think Paul has the power to tweak ratings as liberally as the Scout guys. And I certainly don't think it has anything with him committing to MSU specifically.

I remember a few years ago Rivals did this. There were only about ten 2-star players committed between all 12 SEC schools, and half of those were Vandy. So they had maybe 5 more 2-star players spread between the other 11 teams.

I saw Dontae Walker run circles around Clinton's opponents, and thought he would do the same at State. When he played for us, he wasn't that great. 2-star or 5-star doesn't seem to make a lot of difference to us.

I hope Stars don't make a lot of difference, and they do much better here.

Dontae Walker was pretty damn good his first 2 seasons at MSU. It wasn't because of lack of talent he didn't play in the NFL.
