I see where a Paki teacher started firing back at gunmen

Again, we're back to Bru's fantasy land and not reality. There are already laws on the books and policies prohibiting guns from being on campus and in classrooms. I guess that means we shouldn't have school shootings. Let's solve reality based problems and not Bru's fantasy land where we all sit around in a bongo drum circle.

As to your question, I think you can put enough policy and structure into place where that will be a very minimal if not minute risk. By your logic there would be a hell of lot more accidental shootings on military installations. I would say considering the amount of rounds fired on the military bases of the world, you are talking probably .000001%. That is acceptable, especially when we have had active shootings in a school, it has been 100% that there have been fatalities. Great logic Bru.
Nice nonanswer. Wouldn't expect anything more out of your kind.

Bru needs to come off his single-horned-high-horse and slide down his rainbow of reality.

How many accidental shootings (or intentional shootings) are there at gun shows?

A few years ago, I visited a client (a bank) in a pretty bad part of Miami. There is absolutely no way a gun would enter those premises unless there was a fire emergency and someone snuck in as everyone was exiting.

Since there are so many self proclaimed experts on the subject and hypothetical games are being played, here is one.

What are the chances that an armed teacher has a child shot in his classroom by accident versus a child being shot in a classroom in which there is no possible way a gun will get there in the first place?

Remember just a hypothetical but please tell me which has a higher risk.

I will support policies with the lower risk as we move towards that perfect scenario.
I'm not aware of any kids being shot in a classroom that allows guns...I am aware of kids being shot in classrooms where guns are not allowed.

Please describe your solution to make sure no guns ever get in a classroom.

How many shootings happen around police that are problematic?

Oh, ok, so for sake of argument, you want to install airport style security to enter a school?

The chances would be so slim (in a case where that armed teacher is well trained) that Lloyd would have a better shot at landing Mary.

When I don't carry conceal, I carry with a Level 2 Retention Holster. It would take a strong adult to get that firearm off of me, a child wouldn't have the chance.

I actually wouldn't have the teachers lock the firearm in a safe. I would require them to remain on person full time. I'd also have them carry Israeli style, where a round is not chambered.

My god, you chastise me for "not answering your question, even though I did, then in almost every response you have yet to provide an answer to any of the questions posed to you. Hypocritical much?

I haven't seen a legitimate question out of you? If I do, i will respond.

No, I don't. I don't want teachers having guns either.
I'm trying to envision a way in which we can merge Bru's reality with the real world. Seems like a classic liberal example of legislating as if the world were a utopia and not the one we currently exist in. Help me out if you will. How do we make your reality come to fruition within the current environment, realistically speaking? Is your reality more likely than more school shootings? How do we 100% prevent guns from being in schools or classrooms?

In America with our current constitution and having freedoms, it is impossible to prevent all bad things from happening unless you want to make schools like a prison. What we can do is select policies that will lead to a safer environment. It is your OPINION that entails arming teachers. There are consequences to that action I personally won't accept. I have no problem with the disagreement. I do have a problem with your insistence that it isn't a disagreement but rather it is just foolish "liberalism" .

So I asked you several specific questions and you elected to not answer.

If I may chime in. What other policies beside not arming teachers and allowing armed security in schools do you suggest? I suggest we first enforce the many gun laws we already have on the books. I am OK with increased background checks including mental and medical information being looked into and used if necessary. I am OK with more armed security in all venues and schools.

Damn, you are either dumb or just an emotional immature woman. Personally, i don't you are dumb.

I answered your last question specifically and you can infer answers to your other questions on your own

Must be nice to speak in such broad generalities when pressed on how to implement pie in the sky ideas so as to not really say anything with substance or provide real solutions and then be completely oblivious to that fact.

Remember the Straw Purchase story I told a couple weeks back? An indictment finally came down in the case, only because the gun shop owner pressed the issue so heavily, drawing media attention to the story. Start enforcing more of these type of laws before taking away someone else's rights.

Pakistan isn't a bad place at all. I rather enjoyed my time there.

Hmmm, the two times I visited there we had armed escorts on our shuttle bus and armed guards outside our hotel rooms . Besides buying a nice rug or two, I'm good if I never return.

A wise man once told me..."Devil Dog, be courteous to everyone you meet, but always have a plan to kill them in an instant should the need arise".

We rolled a little more incognito when I was there.

in order to protect his students.

I also saw where a man took a loaded weapon in to a theatre, was drunk, and discharged it critically injuring a woman there to watch a movie peacefully. But, yeah......guns make places safer....
