I sure hope we don't just quit at the plate now. 4 runs may not be enough

and they've started this inning with a lead-off double. A LOT of baseball left to be played.

To 3 runs in order to win this game. Man it's frustrating watching these guys continue to get up 2-0 and 3-1 in the count, but never get a damn hit. How do you hit a weak grounder on 3-1? If you can't kill that 17ing pitch then TAKE IT!

If they took 3-1 pitches I bet a million dollars there would be three pages of posts about how we take too many pitches.

I wasn't trying to start a fight. Just noting that the solution you proposed for what you were complaining about would be complained about as vehemently if it came true, possibly even by you.

Baseball is like the womens......frustrating to all but we keep going back.

Instead of people filling the message board with actual conversations and posts about games, you would rather there be nothing but little smart *** "six pack cool" posts like yours. Well, I'll stop posting about baseball today and let the board go back to a Grizzlies topic. That should be good reading.

CadaverDawg is right. 2-0 and 3-1 are hitters counts. If the pitch is not a perfect pitch to drive, then you take it whether it's a strike or not. Coaches start coaching this as early as junior high if not earlier. It's ridiculous to hit a weak grounder on a 2-0 or 3-1 count.
