Myself and 4 other comrades decided to take on Red Stick and conjure up an epic weekend. Hell of a weekend. LSU fans have a terrible rep. We encountered nothing but hospitality and a bunch of shots. Hoped for a win but a competitive game was enough to not ruin the great time.
Friday Night- Fred's at Tigerland. LSU fans love to party, specifically shooting rumplemintz. Nobody clearly remembers the cab ride home. Woke up with a huggie that said "Make an *** of yourself at Fred's". I think it may have been an award.
Saturday- You know you're in for a great time when a strip club banner is being flown over the stadium pre game. Cajuns know how to party. Best atmosphere is CFB bar none. From the 4 corner salute, mike the tiger, singing the alma mater before the anthem, and the unbelievable crowd participation, LSU does it the right way (not gimmicky). They just arent uptight like us. Saw a ton of people our fans would say they dressed "trashy" or "douchey" and they did crowd cheers many of us would call "ghey". Guess what, they dont give a 17. We were once again met with hospitality at Walk-On's. Yet another great time.
Bottom Line- LSU cemented itself in my mind as the best road trip in the SEC. Great fans, great stadium, great nightlife, great football. Cajuns just get it. Told my Dad on the way back, "If I wasnt born in to the MSU fandom, it sure wouldnt have been hard to be a Tigah"
(for the pics or it didnt happen crowd)
