Just my opinion. I'd like to see them play each other for the National Championship though.

thinking that USCw and OU would play for the title. After week #1, I think Bama beats USCw for it. Bama looked damn good.

USCw isn't in the same league with Alabama. The Tide should be lining up aGAINst NFL teams on Sunday rather than beating up on mere Top 10 teams on Saturday. This is tough to write for a person who cannot stand UAT and all their sidewalk alums.

Todd..seems like an odd comment right now.

I am looking forward to see how well southern cal does against oregon.

But as for this moment in time, looking forward to a bama usc nc game seems a bit....defeatist.

...Michigan made us look the last time we played them. Bama is going to hit some bumps in the road when they face SEC competition.

I think most people felt like Bama's offense would be better but that their defense would lose a step, if not in athletic ability in more breakdowns due to inexperienced players. I think the Michigan shows that their defense hasn't taken a big step back, but I didn't think Michigan was good enough to tell us anything else. I think Michigan will still do well in the Big 10 and be highly ranked at the end of the year, but until I saw all the SEC teams play yesterday I thought they'd be at best the 3rd best team Bama faces this year (4th if Bama makes the SEC CG). I think that will probably still be true, but yesterday's performances leaves the possibility that the SEC might be down significantly, with the east being the weakest I can ever remember it. Probably can't read too much into the first weekend though.

That was two years ago. If Bama gets by LSU, then they're good to go. That's the only road bump I see them possibly having. They beat a pretty good Big 10 team as bad as the other SEC teams beat a FCS school.

There's a very good chance, in my opinion, that this year's Michigan isn't as good as the team we faced in the Gator Bowl. Impossible to find out for sure, but enough similarities between the two to say that they're no true test for an SEC team. Their defense is pathetic, and has been since RichRod.

You can't lose the talent Bama lost and not feel it the next season. It might take a very good team, but they will stumble. There's a reason repeating is so difficult.
