I think the Dems are making a huge strategic mistake

After the terrorist attack, their focus is on gun control. The vast majority of Americans are more worried about random acts of terror in shopping malls, schools, restaurants, clubs, etc. They know the police can't be everywhere and it only takes a few minutes to kill lots of people. Yet the Dems seem to want to make it harder for law abiding citizens to get a gun (since everyone knows that terrorists won't obey laws anyway).

I think people will see this as out of touch with their concerns. In addition, Dems want to increase migration from the Middle East. I think Americans will recoil at that idea as well.

Let's face it, Americans are going to do whatever their political leaning mouthpieces tell them they should on the left and the right. Independent thinking Americans, and I say independent as in free thinking not political party, are becoming less and less of a percentage. Most people base their opinions on what they read on Facebook or hear during their morning and afternoon drives. By in large, a large percentage of this country is comprised of idiots and it's not unique to a specific party.

Both parties are corrupt. Crony capitalism at its finest. I'm all for term limits. We need to get back to citizen government and return power away from Washington and to the people. The special interests get fed and the rest of us starve.

But I do believe on this topic, Americans will have a gut reaction. And gun control is not going to be top of mind.

Another day, another example of the Dems/Hillary making a terrible mistake. With all these terrible mistakes the left is making I guess that Nov 2016 election will be about 80-20 in favor of the GOP.

If you think Americans are concerned more about gun control than about terrorism and want to base your campaign on that message, go for it.

It's the same party that had a leading candidate for President claim Global Warming is bigger threat than terrorism. [eyeroll]

Hillary has some legitimate credentials for President. It is a bunch of baggage she has that makes her unattractive to support, There is a difference.
Bru, I'm not asking this in an antagonistic manner, but what are they? She has had some important titles, but I haven't seen where she has made any marked impact positively in any position she has been in. Moreover, other than her time in Senate which produced nothing meaningful, anything she was involved with as a First Lady was an abysmal failure, specific to her recommendations for appointees, HillaryCare or whatever it was called was a failure and couldn't get passed. Her time as SoS was maybe the worst 4 year run of failures of CFs I've seen. If you go back to her time prior to the White House, again, despite being affiliated with, she never actually DID anything positive. She was kicked off of watergate, how that even happens, I don't know.

Her two strong points are party loyalty and sex.

You won't get me to post Hillary's resume or support her in the Dem primary. But I do find her smart, articulate on issues, and a world view of understanding many of the issues. I find her very qualified to run for the job. That isn't saying everyone else isn't. Personally, I find Trump, Carson and Carly as those that are not "qualified" as they don't or haven't presented themselves the ability to do the job. Others running, I believe they are qualified. I just don't support what they are about.

Well she was behind the drive to send millions of good paying American jobs to the sweat shops in China when she instituted the "Rent a WH Bedroom" scheme that the Chinese grew so fond of.

I can't get beyond the lying, corruption, obfuscation, deceit, lawlessness and deceit that has dominated her life.

All that aside, and I'm not joking here. The decisions she has made have been horrible.

She piggybacks and capitalizes on the greatness of others and then tries to spin the story as if she was THE cog in the machine.

If you vote for her because she is the best none of the above candidate for you that's fine, whatever. If you actually endorse her and stump for her like some people I know, JFC, how blind and willfully stupid are you?
