But Mcphee is gonna be sorely missed. It seems the staff cant find another DE to be servicable...yet. So whats the plan? Do you think we'll see more 3 man fronts?

across the lines than almost any other team in the league. Bama and Auburn are ahead of MSU in that regard. Maybe LSU, UGA and UF but as far as the rest go I'd think MSU is ahead of the pack.

Linebackers can do that. Problem is, we lost that too.

Can we make up for the lost talent? sure. How? we are going to have to bring pressure from other places. Namely:

Interior DL and the safety position.

But we cant go to the Joe lee dunn defense or we'll be crucified like we were in his final years.

We are just going to have to outscore our opponents and hit hard defensively while making some plays on the corners.

I think we are looking at a similar season to last fall except not so glamorous. Probably one less win.

Thing is, we'll be getting better. And I think a DE emerges that none of us are counting on.
