I will say this as well concerning Mark Fox....

for all the love some people have given him on this board, HOW does a team with that much athleticism and talent finish ELEVENTH in a mediocre SEC. That's pathetic given the weapons they have on that team including a number of athletic big bodies. They've looked like a Top 25 team both times we've played them but overall had a REALLY bad season. If they hadn't had such a horrendous season our 2 losses to them would not have looked so bad.

The announcers last night said that Fox was a great practice coach and would be a huge success once he got better players in the program. Then they continue to rave about the talent we have at MSU. So it looks like great coach with no players whips great players with no coach twice and still GA ends up at the bottom of the SEC. I say it's time for a change. Pull the trigger Scott.<div>

Gerald Robinson and the guy with the 3 names that was a MCD AA are both very good players. Then they had even other guys last night, including the big white guy, burying 3 pointers 5 and 6 feet behind the three point line. They had good enough players underneath to totally shut down Moultrie AND Sidney. I'm not saying GA should be world beaters but there is no excuse for the lousy season they had. I can ASSURE you they have WAY more talent than somebody like Auburn who finished ahead of GA.

they return 5 of their top 7 next season- they will be good next season...they have 6 freshmen on their roster

if you want to have a different opinion fine but that team that I saw last night (and that played us at the Hump earlier) should NOT have finished 11th in this weak conference.

but even Stans, in most years but certainly excluding this one, tends to improve our team by the end of the year. That still doesn't justify why they didn't perform better earlier in the year. There is so much turnover in basketball that the old "we'll get 'em next year" for a supposed improving young team doesn't do much for me.

and 3 of their top 6 players are true freshmen

if you think it's weak this year- what the hell did you think in 2008 when Georgia won the SEC Tourney with a losing record and 2009 when a ****** State team won the SEC Tourney???

The SEC will get 5 in the NCAA Tourney
If Mississippi wins tonight, 6 of 12 teams will have 20 wins
The SEC has held it's own vs the Big East head to head this season

I'll try again. They had to play UK, Vandy, Florida, and UT twice. I'm not sure we wouldn't have been 5-11 in the SEC with that schedule. They probably would have been at least 8-8 playing the West teams twice instead of the East. All their good players are Freshmen. They struggled at the beginning of the season because they were young. They seem to be a pretty good team right now and should be better next year.
