I really do think Larry Templeton wanted Greg Byrne to be AD. I think Templeton knew he wasn't smart, energetic, nor original enough to pull off the things Miss. State needed to compete in the SEC. So, he hired Greg Byrne for the purpose of doing the things he wasn't capable of doing.
