well that was real insightful. How about you enlighten us?There is a name that hasn't appeared in this thread and frankly I'm surprised no one has said it to this point.
Well, I agree that King is a pretty easy out, once you lay hands on him. That is a problem, and so I wonder whether Rose can add the Boom lightning, if Boom leaves. It does help to be able to break an arm tackle.I can't see King ever being an effective back. He's too frail, too easy to bring down.
According to ESPN stats, Rose is slower than Snell. Koback and Boom are similar. If we need a burner next year, it will have to be King unless Koback is fully healthy.Tough call between Rose and Koback (who I think will be a star based on his consistent 4.35 speed to go with his 6'0" 205-210 pound frame, and terrific elusiveness and athleticism).
All 3 will play though.

Use them all...King is going to turn out to be a player...has been excellent on ST,I'm inclined to assume King as well. However, Rose is bigger, so I am left asking is he even close to King on speed and agility?
Smith? There is a name that hasn't appeared in this thread and frankly I'm surprised no one has said it to this point.
There it is.Not sure why everyone writes off Lynn Bowden as a possible RB. At very least he could play slot and move over to play Wildcat. Imagine preparing for that.
Boom isn't "going pro" this year. He is smart to get himself evaluated, but he will be back. No NFL draft evaluator rates Boom higher than the #25 running back in thIs draft. CBS Sports slots him at #27. That's a lot lower than Kentucky fans probably think. Just because we haven't had a 1,000 yard rusher at Kentucky in a while, doesn't mean it is rare. It isn't. Boom also has a recent injury history. All of this screams free agent for Boom. If he comes back, he will play on a better Kentucky team next year, which means higher profile. He has a lot to gain by coming back. The only risk would be a major injury, but every football player takes that risk. The running load will be shared next year with Benny and Rose, which lessens Boom's risk.King?
I do too, but I doubt he does.Boom was a much improved runner this year to go with his speed. I'm really hoping he comes back.
Looking forward to seeing him play. The coaches almost played Rose over Snell this year. Rose will be a big time contributor and will eclipse 800 scrimmage yards next year. He is different than snell and boom. Hes a slashing guy with size and very easy speed.

Asime Rose was fast enough to simulate Jackson in prep for U of L.King?
not at RBanyone else think Horton would have been good if he stayed and was patient?
He almost can't help but move up by coming back. We haven't seen many 1,000 yard rushers around here in recent years. But it isn't uncommon around the country. Rafael Little was the last Wildcat to do it. So some of you guys are overestimating Boom's draft position. Right now, CBS Sports has Boom ranked as the #27 running back in this NFL Draft, if he comes out now. That means 7th round or free agent. So there are a bunch of running backs with more draft value right now. So if Boom stays healthy and plays for a bowl team here next year, his draft position is bound to improve, probably significantly. OTOH, if he gets hurt, he would be a free agent, which is basically what he is now. So coming back for our 2017 season is the smart move for Boom.I think the question is whether he can improve that position for the next draft in a manner that overcomes the risk of playing another year in the SEC. If his improvement is marginal, he probably jumps, regardless of draft position.
I agree with this but the big question is will Boom and his father see the prudence and wisdom of it.He almost can't help but move up by coming back. Interesting points. I wonder how much a great bowl game could move his draft position? He almost can't help but move up by coming back.
