at the thought of him being our coach. That is all.
THIS. Every bear that I have talked to are terrified of him becoming our head coach.

How so?
ULL historical win percentage - .487
MSU historical win percentage - .485
If it was so easy to win in Lafayette, why is Mark Hudspeth the first person that's ever been able to do it?
This is where you use the ability to read between the lines or otherwise trust what you hear from people that got it from Hudspeth family members still living in Louisville.I see where the article says that Hud's ties to MSU could be a problem. I didn't see any indication that Hud walked away from the table because of a non-compete provision.
The article simply shows that he was interviewed and turned them down. I filled in the blanks for you. That could very well be the case, since Hud only "alluded" to his MSU ties being a problem without specifically mentioning the details. I just didn't see that in the article. It could have been mentioned in the comments, but I'm not able to see them.
He would have been the first non-compete in the rivalry's history to my knowledge. Archie was terrified that they would hire him -- and he would leave them for MSU -- forever changing their perception of superiority over us in the process. That was a huge hang up on the process.I would be shocked if MSU and Ole Miss both include non-compete provisions in contracts - at least when it comes to each other. It may be too much to ask when it comes to the enitire SEC, but it makes sense to have that sort of language when it comes to rival schools.
This X 1000
Hudspeth is getting prime time on ESPN affiliates second week in a row tonight...only game in town...somebody's looking. I'm still waiting for proof that he's sitting on the edge of his seat waiting for the Mississippi State job. All the stars would have to align perfectly for that to happen. Mullen is going to get another year and at the end of this year Hudspeth may get an offer that he can't refuse. If he does he ain't coming to State.
