If I could tell Mullen/Koenning/Hud one thing, I would just remind them...

That we have two 6'5 receivers. Can we at least try the jump ball in the endzone? Not that O'Neil would catch it, but could we try one to B-Mac? I understand what Mullen was trying to do in this one. I could have killed him on the last 3rd and long running play, but he didn't want to turn it over and give them free points. He had Hutchins and Vandy's QB on his side, and I can't argue with him, but you have to take some chances.

Then again, I must remind myself that Taylor Reed actually would have scored a deep touchdown if Tyson Lee had an arm. Same deal with Wilder, he had inside position on 2 players on a deep post.

I like Lee, but he might be the worst option QB I have ever seen. That toss that preceded the fumble was hilarious. Then there is his proclivity to turn his back and pirouette directly into the oncoming rush rather than to move in and out of the pocket with his eyes down the field to preserve at least some glimmer of hope of actually making a play.

When are we going to open things up? See some "Wilddog" with Bumphis? Reverses?

I do agree with what u are saying..Elliot didnt kno what hit em with the pitch.....as intelligent as TL is he should know when to pitch the option...the end of the 2nd quarter was very disturbing...he has a high IQ....dude, come on...should have been up at least by 10 points at half...we are MSU!!!
