If it is Golden, who do you want as OC & DC

That's the thing with CEO coaches you got to cover both sides of the ball with good coordinators. If we're really opening up the wallet well duh as if I haven't said it enough Aranda.

Barry Odom currently Mizzou's and previously Memphis' DC is a good name and he seems to be out of the HC search for both those schools as of now. Not sure how much he'd cost but at least 500-600K I'd think.

Eddie Gran the Cincy OC is one I mentioned earlier to pair with Chris Ash if he was the HC choice. I don't know what he makes there.

This is why I'm not a big fan of the CEO model. You gotta get both sides right and you have to spread your resources out between both sides too,

Larry Johnson would be a HOMERUN!!!!!!!! He's from MD though. Maybe they go after him.

With Boston College record @ 3-9 (because of their non-existent Offense, not the defense): Take a shot at BC DC Don Brown. In my opinion, he is one of the best in the business.

I like Al Golden but it is the staff that scares me. The OC and DC will be mission critical.

Super recuriters that run exciting units.

How about DC Larry Johnson...both have ties to PSU so its possible

I think that would be tough to pull off. LJ is no spring chicken and he had the offer to be the DC at ILL several years ago and turned it down. He has never been a DC but is one hell of a DL coach. He can recruit too as you already know but his area was the DMV. I believe Vandy was in charge of NJ but he has to be pushing 60 as well.

You could afford Vandy.

EDIT: Man, I'm still pissed off about Vandy being let go.

Hopefully his fellow meathead friend in Donofrio. If we are going meat, let's go full meat.

Golden's career has actually given me a lot of insight as to what I want to see James Franklin do (and not do). If Golden would get rid of the anchor around his leg and simply run the program, I think he would actually have a chance. From all accounts, he handles himself well, represents a university well, is charismatic and can recruit. Problem is he isn't seen as a good game day coach and he has put a friendship above he responsibilities as a coach.
