If Les K. is truly a figurehead?

One thing is for certain from reading SPS. Casual fans have no idea who is really in charge of the offense. You'll read Dan. You'll read Les. Nobody seems to know. If Les doesn't contribute greatly to the offense, why have him? Why not use that cash to get a ST coach, upgrade the pay for other coaches and have Dan be the offensive guru?

His primary job is to coach our QBs. I think he's done pretty well with that all things considered, but I wouldn't argue if someone disagreed. I felt like he had done a very good job of that until the last 7 times we've stepped onto the field.

It's Les' last year IMO regardless.

A lot of comments regardless seem to focus on TR in the entire puzzle whether good or bad. If Les has a good relationship with him, and he will be gone after this year, maybe Les will be gone also. Billy Gonzales was at one time considered for the OC position at LSU based on word on the street. He's been with Dan at Florida and maybe things will change if he's given a shot.

Les will definitely leave before next season. I'm surprised that he has stuck around this long. Mullen needs to replace him with a good OC and give him the keys. Mullen needs to stick to what he's a real "guru", marketing to the fanbase.

Our special teams gave up 6 total punt return yards last year. It's not nearly as big of a problem as some make it out to be.

the offense, however, has got to get their **** together ASAP or we are staring 4-8 right in the face.

Les teaches the play book and coordinates the O.

Dan has major input on play calling during games.

Les has a very big responsibility. Dan can't do everything.

That's my thoughts anyway.

The punt team is especially impressive given the number of snaps they get.

The FG team, on the other hand, needs work. Especially with this offense.
