You're funny. No coach wants their team to lose a game. UL looks crap and Tech is just slightly above crap.

Called confidence. Sometimes it is your worst enemy because you think you are better than you are

You don't see this in any sport more than college basketball.

Tech is the tougher team tonight because they realized they weren't as good as they thought.

LMAO, lose on purpose, for ANY reason. Lmao. Then you want credibility as a functional human being. JFC. we didnt lose, the coach secretly made us lose without us knowing, 3 times in 8 games. Lmao. Ok genius. Every team is at different places. You mean all times aren't exactly the same and at the same point of development? Dam thanks for the education. Lmfao. Here's another look, texas tech just GOT BEAT 3 times already, Louisville is good, they play D, but they struggle offensively, even in some big wins, tonight it bit them they couldnt score well, their D was good but not great like it's been so they lost a game.

Let me guess Tech lost their last game of last year on purpose as a lesson for this year

Called a learning experience.

You use it to show a team what they lacked in that game.
Especially when you don't see the needed energy.
Going to wait. That is what great coaches do.

No one said anything about a coach going into a game to lose but during the game...

This is why everyone said this was a classic Chris Beard effort tonight.

Trust me...
If Tech didn't lose those 3 games you wouldn't have seen the same team

Huggins tried last year.
He is a craftsman.

You have to see where your team is at.

I guess he felt like he needed to get after them and he did.
Told them they had to work harder than Louisville.

How I know Beard was coaching tonight.
He said we might not be better than Louisville but we could be better than them tonight.

Hence that he still is trying to push his team more and more throughout the season.

Have to see what buttons to push.
Sometimes you can sit back and the team will push their own buttons.

Most of the time they don't.

I don't think you get coaching.

Especially basketball coaching.

Your goal is to get your team to go as far as you can take them...

Last night's game is a perfect example of coaching.
If Texas Tech won those three games and then took a L to Louisville
Would that have been better for that team..

Then to lose all three of those games and then beat Louisville

This goes back to WVU
Because Huggins is getting his team ready to take on Ohio State and then Kansas

What does Huggins have to do to get his team ready to play Ohio State?

Ohio State is the 900-gorilla in college basketball this season. They have everything it takes to win March Madness. It will be an awesome test for Huggins' Heroes. I have my tickets for the Cleveland venue where the Cavs play, too. I can't wait. But first, WVU needs to win the next 3 games to build the national anticipation for the Buckeyes game. And pass the eyeball test to get into the Top 25 in the rankings.

Matters what Huggins wants.

Ohio St has impressive wins over Villanova and UNC
But both programs aren't what some thought to begin the season.

Every team and every player is different and it is the coach's Job to have a handle on his team and each player.
Coaching is more physiological than X's and O's in basketball.

I think I'll refine that. Coaching is more psychological than X's and O's in every sport.
