We got ourselves a triad I'm pretty damn happy with. Here's hoping. The our state tour should make a pit stop in Hoover if they aren't already. Would be awesome to have Mullen and Ray in the stands.

we'll have to see if he is as good of a coach as they are- at least he will bring hope to the basketball program instead of "same ol same ol"

even you or me would be better than Stans right? We will obviously be better in basketball next year. After all you said ANYONE would be better than Stans.

and still win less.

The type of talent Stansbury started with last season and what Ray will start with this coming season are two different animals. Thats kind of like saying Saban outcoached Mullen because he won more games. Saban and Mullen dont start off even and begin at the same point each season- and neither will Ray compared to Stansbury last season.

Out of curiosity, am I the only one that thinks he did do a good job with his road dawgs tour speech or in his interview? Not that I care (I actually enjoyed the Slytanic's talks, so I feel pretty confident that coaching ability and the ability to give those types of talks/interviews are not related), just curious what other people think.

One coached football and the other coaches basketball. So what is your reason for comparison?

Is that being a good speaker does not mean you are a good coach.

firing up the fan base a MSU before they ever coached a game...all within a 9 year stretch. Why wouldn`t you compare them ?

There's one common denominator with all the coaches Byrne and Stricklin have hired. They all have that fiery, hardnosed attidude. I don't think Stricklin went too far from that mold when he made this hire. I don't think we're going to have a problem with players not respecting the coach next year.
