one way or the other if he plans on filling those two spots. It seems like lots of people have opinions on football recruiting and who we need to get but when it comes to basketball nobody seems to want to talk. There's two spots open. Who should Stansbury try to get?

Most of the "Blue-Chip" players sign in the fall signing period. The Summer AAU circuit is where all the recruiting action happens in and through those teams coaches.
Stans will not just sign a player to fill a spot, but look for either a good player or a possible project (aka Reik). I think we are looking to sign Luckett from Ridgeland and/or a JUCO. But Stans could wait...

exactly, there just aren't many unsigned guys out there that could help us next year. if they can't help us next year and are borderline sec quality (aka borderline horizon league quality) then we might as well hold the scholarship to use on a guy that is good quality and who we have been recruiting for several years and not be in a position where we are cutting some kid next year who sat on our bench and didn't play or redshirted his fr year. i'd rather a leftover scholarship go to a walk on for a year obviously with the explicit understanding that if we land recruits next year they get the scholarship, but since we had a leftover this year he gets a free ride for a year.
