I find it really funny how nearly every MSU loss is chalked up as a poor coaching job by Rick. Then the wins are either due to great shooting, superior talent, or a cold shooting night by the opposition. At best, Stans may get credit for a "decent" job which is basically a backhanded compliment saying, "Well, at least he didn't screw it up."

It's not like we're on our way to the NCAA tourney now or anything, but I really don't get the disdain that a fairly decent size of our fanbase has for the man.

It was very evident that Stans had a great coaching night. Looking at the young players and how they responded to the situations, the Bud Walton crowd, and to each other -- the thought popped into my head on numerous occassions, "These guys look well coached." Confidence was spilling over in abundunce all over the court and bench... that doesn't happen without great leadership from the head man.

I'm very interested to see how this carries over (or doesn't) to our 2 home games this week.

you don't build a 10-year record like his at a tough place to win at without being a pretty damn good coach.</p>

and the 20+ wins he averages should be 25+ wins a season? Because, by God, we are Mississippi State afterall!!

At least that's what RonnyAtmosphere would have you to believe.
