withdraw from the NCAA and form a ready made minor league system for the No Fun League...it will be the end of student athletes and the beginning of the end for football at WVU.
WVU will have a seat. I've always felt there should be four 20 team conferences, with eight 10 team divisions, regionalized, and allow the final four to result out of that. Granted, one region could potentially have five of the best eight teams in the country, but if you can't be the best within your region, then sorry about your luck.Conferences are going two ways.
P5 are going National
G5 are going Regional
The President at ULL said it best. Why should they cut into their minimum profits to travel when they can make that same amount of money and play closer to home.
But P5 schools are thinking different. They are thinking about expanding their brand name and maximizing their exposure
Truthfully the state of WV deserves at least one school at the big boy table.
Don't know why anyone wouldn't want West VA to find some way to stay at this level.

East coast, midwest, south, and west. Every game means something.
I agree with Allen, WVU would have to be included.
One fact would be WVU is surprisingly well thought of out-of-state. I recall a basketball coach saying about 3 years ago that our national viewership had been in the top 4 or 5. Very likely thanks to super defender Carter and our full-court press.Why...and why?
I suspect that if say, 60 some schools attempt to go out on their own, and rake in all the dough, some schools, who consider themselves better than some current members of the P5, like a Houston, like a Central Florida, your military academies, Boise State, and a few others, they'll likely file several lawsuits, and we all know how that stuff plays out. Even if you took my idea of having 80 teams, your so-called 81st team is going to throw a fit. Regardless of what transpires down the road, somebody will always come away butt hurt. Why would schools want to bring in more schools to share the revenue with
What we are going to see is schools push out others to bring in more revenue.

What is Missouri going to do?
They definitely deserve their punishment. I would have written a letter in support of punishing them if there weren't people who did already.
All the schools can give these student athletes is a chance at bettering their lives either through a degree or on the athletic field.
Mizzou took that away by allowing someone else to pretty much take the classes for the students. Unlike in regards to UNC there wasn't much of a choice as the service was only given to athletes.
Definitely a lot more severe than what a school like OM did because at least they were giving them something instead of removing it.
There are some schools that these kids would never have the chance to attend if it wasn't for college football.
They are able to attend and make something out of their life.
Not society's problem. Learn to spell and speak English in public school. Work as hard on academics as they do on social media. Earn an academic scholarship or ...here is a novel idea...pay for it like everyone else.
The mentality that some have is get theirs and screw everyone else.
But we need people to have the ability to have upward mobility.
That is what college is all about.

Just the truth that you cannot handle.
You post your ******** on a college sports message board for WVU
Like everyone should just stop caring about sports and walk away. Weird.

Just look at what Neal Brown is doing for WVU.
Trust and believe Brown wants these players to have success in life even if it isn't in football.
This is important. This is what you sell to mother's and father's.
Isn't just about football..
It is a lifetime decision. More than that why take that away
That is what gets them into school. The rest is on them.
They have to take advantage of a chance.
That is what life is all about.
Like if I gave you 10K. What would you do with it
Some would buy some clothes, maybe a car or even throw in away on partying and women.
But some would take that 10K and triple it.
That door being opened is the key.
Not going to shut it.

You sound like those low life currently rioting in the streets. Lol. Good grief are you THICK between the ears. True student athletes who have studied hard to get into college and then achieved at real classes have earned something. The ones who can't spell...can't construct a sentence...and got passed on because they can jump...run...and play video games havent earned jack **** you moron. What you describe is cultural and institutional bias.
Never played sports..
You earn athletic scholarships as well
You earn that scholarship to better your life.
Pretty much the purpose for universities
Well you finally admitted that you never played sports and get your self promoted sports knowledge from stealing off the internet. Too funny. I would think your knowledge of college is acquired the same way. Maybe you dhould actually do something and...better yourself.
