Jerry: "I told you not to use my damn name. Can't you try to keep from forgetting that?"

Jerry, Jr.: "Not even your code name?"

Jerry: "Oh, yeah, yeah. My code name."

Jerry, Jr.: "Y'all hear that? We're using code names."

If this even happened, it'll be curious to see how they prove it. Is it just based on a tip or does someone actually have physical evidence (it was 8-10 years ago)?I am huge Saints fan, but if they were ever using this as a competitive advantage then the organization should be severly penalized. Obviously, much worse than the "bounty" gate scandal.

From reading all the initial reports, itseems like it would be very difficult to relay (or translate)thecalls down to the fieldif in fact he was getting them in real-time. Also, what happens when you firea coach and he takes ajobwith another team? Do you not thinkthat coach would say something to his new team when they had to go to the Superdome to play if that was in fact the case? You would have to be an idiot to publicize it toeven a select few of the coaches; you would have to know one day they would likely be on another teams sidelines.

There is stilla lot of digging that will be done over the next couple months, butjust based on what those who were around at the time have said in response to the reports, the Saintsoverall home record during the periods in questionandthe difficulty keeping itconcealed if the coaching staff was involedreally make it hard for me to believe that any of this was going on, or if it was then the calls were not being relayed to the coaches/players. Still, it isanother black eye on the oranizationwhether true or not</p>

I'm calling BS. After the Syracuse thing I don't believe anything they try to dig up. Aaron Brooks is probably the informant trying to be relevant again. Agreed that this is yet another black eye regardless if it's true or not. Loomis did 2 good things in the last 12 years: sign Brees (no one else wanted him) and hire Payton. If Benson fired him tomorrow and added GM to Payton's duties (he already runs our draft) I wouldn't think twice about it. I'm not saying he did anything wrong, he just seems to be the scapegoat for everything and he's irrelevant. Cut ties. However, OTL is just digging for stuff during a dead period of football news though. I'm sure they get things like this all the time but don't report them but decided to this time because of bounty-gate and that drama.

The coaches are gone, the players are gone, the Saints weren't particularly good during the supposed time period. Some dumbasses are talking about stripping the SB win but this allegedly occurred well before all that. What else can they realistically do besides punish the GM and owner?
