If we do win and get a bowl, will you go?

I've been to small bowls before and had a good time. No reason not to this time.

Well it basically would come down to Memphis, Birmingham, and Shreveport. I will not go to Shreveport, but I will definitely go to the others.

If it's Memphis or Birmingham, I'll probably just drive for the game. I won't make a mini vacation out of it like we have for the gators and music city.

Considering I have not been able to go to any in the past 5 years, and if it is within a day drive from me here at FT Campbell, KY DANG straight I am going!

I would. Most fans cant make the long trips to Jacksonville, or Nashville. Memphis or Birmingham would be good like said earlier a days drive. Just have to find a way to win the bowl before the bowl

I was referring to all State fans in general.

Which I assume most of them live in Mississippi. Rather, enough live here to pack the house at a bowl an hour or three away.

I got it, just wondering how the general fan base would treat a bowl this year. In the past, if it had been a number of years between bowls, the fans would travel well to a smaller bowl. Just wondering about this year, since it has been such a downer most of the time. I would probably drive to Shreveport from Houston.

It would be Memphis. Memphis and Birmingham alternate picks year to year. Memphis is first this year. Birmingham was first last year. That's why UM went to Birmingham and not to Memphis last year.

I live in Memphis, so if it is the Liberty Bowl, then yes. Any other small bowl, probably not.

I've been to every bowl that we've played in since Sherrill's first Liberty Bowl, so no need to stop now.

I definitely would not see this season as a "downer" if we make the Liberty Bowl. Hardly anyone picked us to win much more than 6 games at the start of the year and that was before we had all these injuries.

Last year was a downer however.

Yes, I hate any if the stadiums we'd be going to but I'll be there.

Absolutely. After missing the Independence Bowl when I didn't really have to, and then making it through 2001-2006 with my sanity intact, I swore I'd never take bowls for granted again.

Not to Shreveport (just too far), but possibly to Memphis (swore I'd never go back after '07, but one never knows), definitely to B'ham since it's under 100 miles, and if by some miracle we went to Nashville, then yes.

I went back to confirm, and yes, I went to all of them: 3 Peach, 2 Gator, 2 Liberty, 1 Cotton, 1 Indy, 1 Music City.

I actually like the idea of going back to the Liberty. It is an easier trip and can be done in one day. I'm sure they'd love to have MSU back in that bowl if we can get eligible.

I'd definitely go to Shreveport since one of my daughters lives there. I'd still spend a little money.

Yes, but it all depends on the day of the week. I'd be tough to pull the kids out of school.

If it were Shreveport I would. 5 hours away from Austin.

Which means we will definitely go anywhere but Shreveport.

Yes it is an achievement and had we not been so stupid to schedule Oklahoma State, folks would be happy beating the rebel bears and hping7-5.

I honestly i think if we make a bowl after everything we went through this year, I would be way more inclined to travel. Way more than the previous two years. These young guys have shown alot of grit down the stretch and I for one woul be more than proud to support them in a rinky dink bowl game.
