If we hire Mike Davis, we'll get to do this again soon but for an AD insteadof a bball coach

Davis has been fired twice and couldn't survive at a program with as much history and resources as any, Indiana. It is really down to Prohm and he has only one year as a head coach. Stans Jones hasn't been interviewed for any job so if these three coach mentions are final choices, we are in deep doo doo.

Hiring Davis would be as if another school hired Stansbury. He had Bender, outlaw, and Monta Ellis committed.
Mike Anderson had 4 20+ win season in a row.The Maroon Pug said:Mike Davis is not a bad coach. He got fired b/c the AD at UAB just hated his guts..and UAB was in a rebuilding year. Davis have UAB 4 20+ win seasons in a row in 6 years and IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED THERE BEFORE. Even Gene Bartow didn't do that.

Davis has never been at the top of my list, but he wouldn't be a bad hire. He coached Indiana to what is still the best season they've had since 1981 and he coached UAB to their best season since 1982.
Coaches say that all the time. Our coach said that all year. I bet most coaches say that about most close losses.Orpheus said:As the supporter of a CUSA school that has competed against Davis, I will tell you that he is a total gutless wimp. After USM beat him in their first meeting against UAB this year, Davis said that his team had just played the top three teams in CUSA and even though they lost to all three, they "should" have won all three. He is a joke. I have too much respect for MSU athletics to think you guys would even give this tool an interview.
