If we somehow by a miracle beat LSU...

Good call - 1998, 4-7 LSU @$$ rapes us with a telephone pole 41-6 (and it wasn't that close) at DWS. We finish 8-3 (6-2) and go to Atlanta. However, if LSU blows us out in DV this year, may as well give up. I'm not saying we will win the west this year by any means, but a blow out loss this year doesn't mean the season is over. We could still go 9-3 fairly easily and have a decent shot at 10-2 even if LSU kills us. DV is a strange place filled with dark vodoo magic. A bad loss there is not necessarily an omen of what the rest of the season will be.

Good call - maybe if we get curb stomped in DV, we can do like we did that 1 time in that 1 place that 1 year. Care for me to point out the times they destroyed us and we went on to have subpar seasons? Until our team proves that it can bounce back from debilitating losses when expectations are so high, I'll continue to have my doubts. We need to keep the LSU game close for the mental aspect of our players.

Good grief

Let me put it another way since the real point wasn't clear to you obviously. Getting curb stomped by LSU will not be ultimately what decides if we have a good season. Please let me know if you think we had sub-par seasons because LSU destroyed us. Do you seriously believe all the years during Jackie's downturn and Crxxm were miserable seasons just because LSU mauled us? If only we had been competitive those years with LSU, the entire decade of the 2000's might have been so different.

  • 2009, they beat us by 2, so we were very competitive, went 5-7
  • 2010, they beat us by 22, went 9-4
  • 2011, they beat us by 13, went 7-6
  • 2012, they beat us by 20, went 8-5
  • 2013, they beat us by 33, went 7-6
  • 1997, we lost 24-9, went 7-4
  • 1996, we lost 28-20. Hey we were competitive again, went 5-6
  • 1994, we lost 44-24, went 8-4
  • 1993, we lost 18-16, competitive again, went 3-6-1
  • 1992, we lost 24-3, went 7-5

Apparently you are so messed up from the Crxxm error, it has clouded your perception. Since Mullen arrived, we lost by 2 (went 5-7), lost by 22 (went 9-4), lost by 13 (went 7-6), lost by 20 (went 8-5), lost by 33 (went 7-6). So, just looking at Mullen's tenure since that is what is relevant, 4 out of 5 years says that the closer we are in score to LSU, the worse our record will be.

Being early in the season with a new QB still adapting to the speed of sec players and the pressure of expected to win without a Duo of receivers arguably the best duo in sec history and the confidence of experiences players coming back to MSU it ridiculous to think it's impossible to beat LSU. I find it really hard to believe some of you arm chair geniuses could even think otherwise. Maybe you just have never been a winner. Winners believe.
Now about LSU not recruiting Dak or dismissing him and Josh or however it was put. Ridiculous again LSU went after Dak hard just to little to late. Thier arrogance of believing when they would offer him he would just swoon. Wrong!! he sold his mom on MSU by saying he wanted to help build a winner. And wanted to stay loyal to his commitment. I'm starting a band wagon get in board and believe or get the hell out of the way. You may just get run over. Go Dawgs.
Wheres the faith?????
