Beshear’s doing his update and people are outside yelling. And his demeanor has not changed one bit. Maybe the calmest person on earth.
---
Well that's because he has his jackbooted Kentucky State Police goons around him barking orders left & right. Plus, if things go badly for him, he's got money coming from his daddy. You know, the money that "daddy" stole from the Kentucky taxpayers.

Bashear definitely needs a plan. A real one. But I just don’t think we’ve seen the worse from Ky yet. Need more testing. And I think he’s going to be overly cautious and we’ll be out longer than others. Right or wrong? To be determined, imo.

Of course though, one of the child rapists that he pardoned has already been busted for child porn, so he's probably laying low to avoid responsibility for that, too.

Without names, I’m curious if it was the one from Laurel County that has been re-charged. I knew the one from Laurel County that got into trouble at a high school there, and was pardoned by Bevin. The defendant’s brother held a fund raiser for Bevin.

Tomorrow. Honestly, went to bed last night thinking I wasn't sure I could take much more of it. Went through the day today and it confirmed it. I am ready for my old life back.

But it's ok to deny many more than that their right to worship? Nice logic. Maybe you can go out and by some heroin for some people too.

His point was people can get physically sick and, in severe cases, die if they go through withdrawals from chemical dependency without medical supervision. Risking bottleneckimg ERs in a pandemic with alcoholics going through DTs is not smart.

Missing church won’t kill or sicken anyone because one can’t be physically dependent on church. Spiritually dependent, sure. But that’s an entirely different argument for an entirely different setting.

It’s an apples to oranges comparison IMO.

So either way, the lockdown has helped KY a great deal. Could they open back up, and be fine, seeing as how that state is far less populated, both in total number and density, than NY? Maybe.

It hasn't. Adjusted for population, our deaths do not measure up well. Adjusted for amount tested as well, and it's even worse. And it isn't because "we only test the worst" we only have a 6% or so rate of positive per test.

No later than April 30 anything to do with physical exercise should be reopened. Bars and restaurants should be reopened but only outdoor seating.

In high density areas people should be required to wear masks in public. July 1 bars and restaurants open generally. August 1 all restrictions on gathering lifted, with exception of requiring masks in certain locales.

The solutions aren't that difficult as long as you aren't worried about politics and appearance. They just need to be flexible depending on the locale.

I'm sure that was the Governor's reasoning. Hey folks, we have so many alcoholics in our state that we must keep the liquor stores open.
I'm sure it wasn't because a lot of the big money donors to his campaign were in the distillery industry. Gimme a break.

Yeah, I mean politicians never do things for their big donors.....[roll]

So the 32 other states making special provisions that ensure liquor stores stay open are also in with the same donors? Or more logically without partisan dumbassery, keeping liquor stores open can mitigate a potential drain on the healthcare system and generates some tax money for the states to use in this crisis. Alcohol is heavily taxed, you know. Especially in the south.

You just hate the governor because he’s a Dem. Governors of both parties nationwide have ordered via executive order liquor stores open and prohibited mass gatherings (churches). The only state to close liquor stores was Pennsylvania, but a portion of their population belives electricity is satanic voodoo, so not the best example.

I don't care what 32 other states are doing at all. I don't live there. I don't hate this Governor. I have a different view, so I must hate him. Grow up.
Spare me this helping the healthcare system garbage. That's a joke. It's about money. Keep drinking the kool aid.
Your childish slurs are about what I expected.

Did you dislike Beshear before the church thing?

I'm not sure if this was posted a few pages back but Glenn Jacobs (yes Kane), who is the Mayor of Knox County put together a 6-week plan to reopen businesses. It started slow and you did certain things for 2 weeks, saw how it went, then increase it and so on. He didn't specifically say start on "X" but I thought it had some good points in it.

I've taken this thing seriously, but sometime in May we have to start easing into a 6-to-8 week re-opening of businesses.
