You are being ridiculous. I don't care about Yancy (the guy writes like a retarded monkey), nor do I care about the Spirit or anyone else's pay sites. I don't subscribe to any of them. That said, your comments and indignant outrage at Yancy is beyond commical in this case. I can't help laughing at you.

"Yancy had no right to be commenting on one of our signees"

Ahhh, this was someone both schools were recruiting. This was a player that visited OM recently. Isn't it his job to comment on prospects OM was recruiting, and where they are signing?

"much less trying to embarass him as a possible non-qualifier"

We oversigned and are obviously placing several players in JUCO's/Hargrave/ect. I believe Yancy, and the guys on Rivals, have posted lists of the players OM signed that are unlikely to qualify. Are they trying to "embarass" these new Rebels the same way they did Skinner?

Funny stuff, SPD.

Yancy does and says some really, really stupid ****, but this BDJ stuff tops it all.

Seriously, complaining about what YANCY 17'ing PORTER said on a messagboard about Deonte Skinner? Seriously?

Yancy shouldn't have said it, BUT, who the hell cares? And, on top of that, WHO WHINES LIKE A LITTLE *****?

I mean, I could understand complaining about a real writer saying it. I could understand it about someone with a good reputation. But he's bitching about what some guy who can't get a comparison right, a saying right, and routinely spells **** wrong in articles that he publishes on Scout.com.

What a whiny 17'ing *****. Jeebus...

I probably will once I get out of class and have something better to do. There is no arguement to get, it was apparently in ill taste for him to comment on skinner, I think it was smart for him to double sign and because I think it was smart of him to double sign I automatically (according to ya'll) am obsessed with yancy and hate everything to do with state.

Gotcha, if it makes you feel any better he also released that Brown signed with a Juco and OM. I do remember that because we (OM) were wondering if he had a chance to qualify and had to listen to State fans saying he had no chance to qualify.

that you've ever seen. Just pure back and forth drivel that would be better suited for a junior-high playground. Now imagine a whole message board like that. I think most posters have since moved on to commenting poorly written, all-caps screeds on YouTube or AOL (fanhouse, political machine, etc.).

that won't qualify and about half o them probably did double-sign. The others will go to Hargrave.

If Gene said Eric Smiley "double signed" I am not sure why it would bother me. He did.

There are still some good guys over there but it is not the same message board that it once was.

...we all agree that it was smart of him to double sign. It was an incredibly sorry thing for Yancy to mention it. The end.

Also Yancy has in the past reported when OM signees double sign w/ a JUCO. The recruit had just been on an official visit to Oxford, that's why he reported what he ended up doing. Not to mention this was posted on a private Ole Miss board. If Jones is concerned about discretion, his grandstanding has done more damage than Yancy did.

It was unprofessional and, yeah, i guess a little crappy of him to say but I don't see why it's that big of a deal.
