in charge of a team that's had only seven players available for every game to this point, NONE of those with meaningful D1 experience prior to this season, three (practically four) of them raw freshmen, two of them walk-ons who were unable to sniff significant minutes last year, and not even a mid-major starter caliber point guard among them... do you honestly think whoever it is would do much better? In the hands of a Coach K or Bob Knight (coaches on a level that we wouldn't have been able to even approach at present), I would predict that this team would get three, MAYBE four more wins this season. There's not a lot reason to believe Ray will turn out to be a great coach thus far, but there's much less to believe he won't. When a coach inherits a team that doesn't have anything close to a guarantee of being able to execute any given game element or strategy due to mass inexperience, lack of talent, or lack of personnel, it's beyond moronic to immediately condemn said coach, or have any type of expectations for the season in general.
